Parking Panic

Tap cars out of a crowded lot, timing each escape against cycling green, amber, and red gate lights while limited hold tokens rescue tight spots.

Overview

Parking Panic is a traffic-escape puzzle about emptying a crowded parking lot one car at a time. Every vehicle drives straight forward when tapped, and every exit gate is guarded by a light that cycles green, amber, and red in a fixed, learnable rhythm. A car that rams another vehicle or crosses its gate while the light is red crashes, and a single crash ends the attempt. The puzzle comes from reading two kinds of information at once: dashed lines that preview each car's path through the lot, and a small pip beside every light that previews the upcoming phase with a countdown ring. Waiting costs nothing, so every layout is a question of order and timing rather than luck. Thirty compact lots escalate from three cars on open asphalt to eight vehicles packed into tight, mutually blocking rows.

How to Play

Tap or click a parked car to send it driving toward its gate, and tap a held car to release it back into motion. You can also select a vehicle with Tab or the arrow keys, then press Enter or Space to send it, H to spend a hold token and freeze the selected car in place, R to retry instantly, and P to pause. The HUD shows the current level, how many cars are out, your moves against the level's move limit, and your remaining hold tokens. Empty the lot to unlock the next of 30 levels.

Tips & Strategy

Work from the exits backward. A car whose dashed path glows red is blocked, so find the vehicle standing in its way and move that one first; chains of blockers unwind from the front of the lane. Check the light pip before committing: if the countdown ring shows red arriving before your car reaches the gate, simply wait, because the clock never punishes patience. Two cars can share one lane as a convoy when both keep rolling at the same speed, which is a quick way to empty a stacked row during a single green window. Save hold tokens for genuine emergencies, such as freezing a car you sent too early so another can cross its lane first, or halting one half-way to let a blocker clear. Finishing within the move limit earns the SWIFT seal, finishing with every token saved earns THRIFTY, and winning on the first attempt earns CLEAN, so the best solve is usually the fewest taps.

What Makes It Distinct

Unlike pure sliding-block parking puzzles, Parking Panic makes time itself the second layer. Gate lights cycle in known, deterministic sequences and the next phase is always previewed, so a crash is never bad luck; it is a decision made a moment too early. Hold tokens turn mistimed sends into recoverable plans, and the three outlined badge seals reward careful play without any scoring or rating pressure.
